Gus Elizondo

Bio
Gustavo “Gus” Elizondo joined NCTM as a Research Specialist III in March 2023, but previously collaborated with the center as a camp counselor for the BioFORCE Summer Academy program from 2014 – 2016. Prior to joining NCTM, Gus worked at Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies where he served as Lead Downstream Manufacturing Technician and subsequent QC Cell Biology Analyst. He has experience working directly with depth filtration, tangential flow filtration, and column chromatography in a cGMP environment. He also has experience performing QC analytical testing including ddPCR, qPCR, RT-qPCR, TCID50 infectious titer, plaque assays, ELISA, and protein concentration via slope spectroscopy for stability testing as well as the release of GMP samples. Gus graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.S. in Biology in 2014 and a Master of Public Health degree in Environmental Health Sciences in 2017.
