What is BioFORCE?

BioFORCE is a week-long STEM summer program at the National Center for Therapeutics Manufacturing (NCTM), part of the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station (TEES), which introduces high school students to the rapidly evolving biomanufacturing industry. BioFORCE is designed to ignite a passion for the biological sciences and encourage students to consider a career in this underrepresented industry.

Campers will explore how scientific discoveries are translated into commercial medical products—from early research through large-scale manufacturing. The program is intentionally structured to build critical thinking and problem-solving skills while reinforcing high school biology and chemistry concepts in an applied context. Students also gain insight into career pathways by speaking to industry professionals and touring research labs and manufacturing facilities.

For prospective participants, BioFORCE offers a unique opportunity to experience college-level labs and industry-relevant training in a supportive setting. The program is designed not only to deepen scientific knowledge but also to inspire students to pursue STEM degrees and careers—particularly in the rapidly growing biotech and pharmaceutical sectors. With a focus on hands-on engagement, BioFORCE serves as both an introduction to biomanufacturing and a potential launch point for students to become future scientists, engineers, or innovators in biopharma.

We’re proud to offer this opportunity at both of our locations: College Station & Dallas.
